Happy Holidays from the Petty family! Nicki Minaj took to her Instagram on Christmas day to share holiday photos of her family. In the snaps, the rapper can be seen posing next to her husband Kenneth Petty and their son, who is affectionately called “Papa Bear”.
“Merry Christmas. May you receive everything your heart desires,” she captioned.
Nicki Minaj welcomed her son on September 30, 2020. The little one’s arrival was a shock to some fans who learned of Nicki Minaj’s pregnancy weeks before she gave birth. The rapper did not share her expectancy with the world until she was headed for her third trimester of pregnancy.
Shortly after welcoming her son, Minaj took to her official website to share that becoming a mother to “Papa Bear” has filled her with joy.
“I’ve also been completely overwhelmed with joy and fulfillment in the world of Papa Bear. Each day creates a new and fascinating, magical memory that I hide far away into a little cute compartment of my heart; vowing never to forget any of it. Like, he’s just a cute liddo marshmallow. I can’t take it. His favorite movie is Madagascar – Escape 2 Africa … he won’t stop watching it. LOL. He’s so smart, funny, sweet, competitive … it’s kind of crazy how they have a full personality so early on. Yesterday I made him say mama. Even got it on video. Just … wow,” she added.
Nicki recently also shared that motherhood is sometimes challenging for her as a working mom. “To the women that have to get up and go to work every day and leave the baby and put the baby in daycare, God bless you,” Minaj shared with her Instagram followers. “I know that’s not easy,” she added. “I can do a photoshoot for two hours and when I see my baby after that, I feel guilty,” Nicki shared from her personal experiences. “I feel like oh my God and he is just so cute.”
“Papa Bear” is Nicki Minaj’s first child with her husband, Kenneth Petty.
