YOUNG DOLPH’S PARTNER, MIA, AND THEIR KIDS SPEAK AT HIS MEMORIAL SERVICE

"Still In My Heart"

Young Dolph’s kids took the stage at his memorial last Thursday (Dec. 16). The service was held at FedExForum in Memphis, Tennessee, just 29 days after his murder in the city.

Dolph’s longtime partner, Mia Jaye, joined their two children, Adolph (7) and Aria (4), onstage during the ceremony. All three had words, which were nothing short of heartbreaking.

“I had the most pleasurable time of my life with Adolph Robert Thornton Jr,” Mia Jaye said. “He was the most brilliant man, intelligent man, unique man, charming man; he was just everything,” the mother of two told attendees. “And I’m so, so blessed that I was able to experience him for nearly a decade.”

Young Dolph was murdered while purchasing cookies at a local business in Memphis on November 17, 2021. The rapper was in town to give turkeys to less fortunate families for the Thanksgiving holiday.

“I’m just happy to be here because my dad was the person who raised me and he trained me to be a good man when I grow up,” Adolph said of his late father. “When I was younger, I used to love playing and he was the only thing I could think about,” the youngster told attendees at his dad’s memorial. “But now since his death, I’m going to make it up to the whole world and I’m going to be the greatest person you will ever know.”

Young Dolph’s daughter, Aria, also talked about her father at his memorial service. “My dad, I love him because I know who he is and he’s the best dad I know because I just like to play with him in my heart because he’s still my heart and I’ll keep thinking of him forever and ever and ever,” the little one said.

Keke Wyatt was among the many celebrities to give a tribute to Young Dolph during his memorial service. Memphis officials renamed a street after the late rapper because of his charitable deeds.
