Kim Porter died in her sleep on November 15, 2018. The model was battling pneumonia at the time and was reportedly planning to ask her doctor for a different treatment plan. Lung infection was the official cause of death. Kim’s death is still felt in the fashion world and her family.
“Anybody that’s lost a mother or lost a soulmate, it takes time. It takes time. They say time heals all wounds when it comes to mothers, [but] I don’t think that’s the case,” Diddy said during a 2019 interview in which the Hip Hop mogul became emotional when talking about Kim Porter. “I don’t think anyone would ever understand how hard it is to be a Black mother.”
