Gucci Mane is a doting father. The recording artist recently shared a picture of his son, Ice Davis, that was nothing short of precious.
“My lil boy [is] getting big,” Gucci told his social media fans. The rapper uploaded a candid of his son walking with his dad’s help. “He looks just like you,” one social media follower said in response to the picture. Another Instagram follower wrote, “This made me smile.”
Ice Davis is Gucci Mane’s first child with his wife, Keyshia Ka’Oir. The celebrity father recently told Billboard that he felt like a first-time dad despite having a son, Keitheon Davis, who is now a teenager.
“Me and the mother were kind of like strangers,” Gucci Mane said of his relationship with his oldest son’s mother. “I never knew how much attention you got to pay to a baby,” the celebrity father shared. “It’s not easy.”
Gucci Mane did not get the full experience of caring for an infant until Ice was born because he was not connected with his older son until the youngster was 10-months-old. Now, the rapper is the doting father who climbs in his son’s playpen and spoils his little one with loads of toys.
It was just a few weeks ago that Ice joined his mom in celebrating Gucci Mane’s record label. “The pandemic is how I popped off my label,” Gucci shared with Billboard during his recent interview. “I wanted to be a Jermaine Dupri,” the celebrity father further explained. “I never got into music thinking, ‘I’m going to be this rapper and just chase this solo career,'” the recording artist added. “It was like, ‘Let’s all put our heads together to help [each other].’ It takes a village to do anything. You need that community.”
