Abby Phillip of CNN is a doting mom. The journalist took to Instagram on Tuesday (Oct. 26) to celebrate her daughter, Naomi Angelina Richardson.
“My greatest responsibility and joy in this life is to be your mama,” Abby wrote to her daughter. “I’m so grateful to be able to take you with us on our adventures,” the celebrity mom shared.
Abby Phillip and her husband, Marcus Richardson, enjoyed a family trip to Santa Barbara with their daughter. Little Naomi was the highlight of all the pictures with social media fans commenting on the little one more than the trip itself.
“Beautiful baby with a head full of hair,” Teasha Bivins wrote in response to Abby Phillip’s post. “She’s just so full of joy and love,” Lesli Foster said. “Beautiful baby Naomi!”
It was just a few weeks ago that Abby Phillip shared her excitement about life as a first-time mom with PEOPLE. “You only get your first one once, so I’m going to take that time, spend it with her and nurture her until she watches me go back to work and learns that mommy has a job,” Abby said regarding her decision to take full advantage of maternity leave.
“I don’t want motherhood to change me too much,” Phillip further explained. “I’m a believer in bringing your child along with your life,” the celebrity mom added. “I want to keep doing the things that I normally do, working and traveling, seeing friends and going out and having a glass of wine.”
Abby Phillip admitted that little Naomi would not remember the family’s latest trip to Santa Barbara. “You won’t remember this trip, but I always will,” Abby wrote to her daughter. “Your joy on the airplane, the wonder in your eyes at every new sight,” Phillip continued. “I can’t wait to show you the world, baby girl.”
