Chrissy Teigen’s new cookbook, Cravings: All Together, makes its debut at the end of this month. Chrissy gives supporters of her book insight into how writing her cookbook and spending quality time with family helped her move forward after pregnancy loss.
“Without a doubt, I have just lived through a period more transformative than I could have ever imagined,” Chrissy writes in the introduction of her forthcoming book. “We lived through personal trauma, with the loss of our unborn baby, Jack,” the celebrity mom shares. “And that turned a very private journey into personal love and acceptance of life and all of its wild, horrific, beautiful ups and downs. So many of you stood by us during that time! I cannot thank you enough.”
John Legend and Chrissy Teigen suffered the devastation of pregnancy loss last year after a precautionary visit to the doctor turned tragic. Chrissy decided to seek help from her physician after a month of bleeding. The celebrity mom grew especially concerned because what began as spotting evolved into clots.
Medical experts tried to give Chrissy enough fluids to survive and carry her pregnancy to term. The doctor was, ultimately, only able to save Teigen. Jack was stillborn last September.
“The journey changed me in ways nothing else ever could,” Chrissy writes in her latest cookbook. “While it was the absolute most painful thing I have endured, I have emerged stronger and hungrier than ever,” the author shares with her readers. “[I’m] hungry for my family, hungry for my friends, hungry for love, hungry for work, hungry to make you hungry, and just plain f—— hungry.”
Chrissy Teigen’s Cravings cookbook series debuted in February 2016. Cravings: All Together debuts on October 26, 2021. John Legend and Chrissy Teigen have two kids – Luna and Miles – together. The couple’s oldest child, Luna, celebrated her fifth birthday earlier this year.
