FIVE FAMILY-FRIENDLY HALLOWEEN SHOWS FOR THE FAMILY TO ENJOY

Halloween is just around the corner and if you are not planning on going out to Trick-or-Treat this year, there is still plenty of spooky family fun to be had. Netflix has made sure that there are plenty of scares on the screen. Here are five family-friendly Halloween shows that you can find on the popular streaming service for the entire family to enjoy!

1. Goosebumps

This is unquestionably a generational favorite. Goosebumps was a popular series in the 90’s based on stories by R.L. Stine. Netflix has more than 74 episodes that you can binge either on the spookiest night of the year or leading up to it.

2. Are You Afraid of the Dark?

If were a Nickelodeon watcher in the 90s, then this Neflix series will look very familiar. This Are You Afraid of the Dark revival follows the story of a young girl who gets inducted into a mysterious group, but must tell a scary story to officially join them. But when her friend’s fates begins to change based on the stories they tell, things start to become a lot more realistic. Warning: you may want to watch with the lights on.

3. DreamWorks’ Spooky Stories

These super scary tales feature your kid’s favorite Dreamwork’s Animation characters. One story tells the tail of an eery night in Lord Farquaad’s haunted castle. Another chronicles how Shrek and Donkey have to rescue Fiona, not this time from Lord Farquaad but from his ghost. And another is based on Monsters vs. Aliens. This is the perfect binge with multiple scary themes.

4. Hotel Transylvania: The Series

Hotel Transylvania: The Series is set four years before the first Hotel Transylvania film. In the series, Mavis, Drac’s daughter, finds herself living with her Aunt Lydia in the hotel while her dad is away on “Official Business.” If your kids are huge fans of all three Hotel Transylvania films they will love the episodic humor that takes place in each episode of Hotel Transylvania: The Series. A bonus: you cannot have Halloween without a vampire or two.

5. Scaredy Cats

With this Netflix pick, viewers are in for a “purrrrrrrfect” good time in the wonderful world of magic. The series follows 12-year-old Willa Ward and her friends as they unlock a magical world with powers and cats. This new Netflix series is just right for family fun on Halloween!
