Disney+ renews The Mysterious Benedict Society for season 2. Fans, get ready to rejoice!
The Mysterious Benedict Society is based on a YA book series by Trenton Lee Stewart. The adventurous series in its first season took viewers on twists and turns as it follows the lives of four orphans who are mysteriously summoned to a boarding school simply known as “The Institute.”

After winning a scholarship competition, four gifted orphans are recruited by the peculiar Mr. Benedict for a dangerous mission to save the world from a global crisis known as The Emergency. Reynie, Sticky, Kate, and Constance must infiltrate the mysterious L.I.V.E. Institute to discover the truth behind the crisis.
“This show has been an absolute thrill to work on and I’m so thankful to the fans and Disney for the opportunity to keep telling this incredible story,” Tony Hale, who portrays both Mr. Benedict and Mr. Curtain in the series, shared in a statement.
Co-creators and writers Matt Manfredi and Phil Hay, and co-showrunners Darren Swimmer and Todd Slavin, echoed Hale’s excitement in a joint statement.
“We’re thrilled to have the opportunity to continue our journey into Trenton Lee Stewart’s witty, warm and wonderful world in a second season of The Mysterious Benedict Society. This has already been such a special experience, thanks to our remarkable cast and collaborators. So, what should loyal viewers expect from season two?
Well, according to JustJaredJr.com, season two will pick up as the team of four intrepid orphans reunite a year after their first mission, when they were assembled by Mr. Benedict and his cohorts to foil the nefarious “Emergency” created by Benedict’s twin brother Dr. L.D. Curtain. Now they must embark on a perilous journey, relying on wits, intellect, and empathy to try to try to stop Curtain as he shifts to a new strategy with global implications.
