A Million Little Things star Romany Malco is a doting father. The actor recently took to Instagram to reflect on how much parenthood has changed him.
“Yesterday, while doing press for @millionlittlethingsabc, a journalist asked me what has fatherhood taught me thus far,” Romany said last Wednesday (Sept. 15). “I’ve been a stepfather for almost 7 years,” the celebrity dad told his supporters. “My kids were 5 and 11 when we met,” Malco added.
“They’ve helped heighten my consciousness in so many ways,” the actor revealed. “Yet, having a newborn has made me even more mindful because it is obvious [to] realize my 7-month-old son isn’t just observing me,” Malco shared with his fans.
“He’s downloading me. My tone, energy, sense of humor, sarcasm, posture, eating habits, stubbornness, and other behavioral patterns of mine are being deposited right into his database of options.”
Knowing that Brave is watching him and taking notes has prompted Romany Malco to be more conscious of his actions. “It has made me more mindful of the energy I carry throughout the day,” Romany told his social media fans. “It has inspired an emotional sobriety that requires me to be much more vulnerable than I’m comfortable with,” the celebrity father added.
“I can no longer overlook my shortcomings,” Malco explained. “I can no longer allow myself to sweep uncomfortable matters under the rug. I can no longer lean on my own understanding, making lateral moves in my life and career. The accountability I’ve run from is now inescapable because of #Brave.”
Romany Malco welcomed his son, Brave Malco, on January 22, 2021. The youngster is his first biological child. “I’m 52 years old and I’ve never been responsible for anything quite as delicate and precious,” Romany said upon announcing the birth of Brave. “Seeing my genes expressed in this little man is fascinating to observe,” the actor declared.
