Introducing Legend Samuels! Erica Mena and Safaree introduced their son to social media fans right before Jamaica swept at the Prefontaine Classics this past weekend.
Safaree uploaded a video clip of his little one who was rocking a onesie that bore Jamaica’s flag. The celebrity father deleted the clip after all three Jamaican sprinters claimed prizes at the Prefontaine Classics. Still, Safaree left the post up long enough to get several nods from adoring fans.
“He’s too cute,” one fan wrote in reference to the Instagram update. “Safaree’s twin,” the social media fan added. Another supporter believed Legend favored his mom’s physical features. “He’s cute,” the Instagram user said. “[He] looks like Erica’s twin.”
Erica Mena also shared a post of her son with her social media fans. The Love and Hip Hop: Atlanta (LHHATL) star captured her son while he was dressed in a robe and rocking sunglasses. “A LEGEND introduction,” Erica told her Instagram fans. “This is how you vacation Papi,” the celebrity mom added. “Meet the man who made everything even better for me. My Legend.”
Safaree and Erica Mena welcomed their son in June. Legend arrived several weeks early, which ultimately led to his admittance to NICU. Erica gave fans an update on her son’s condition two weeks after Legend was originally admitted to NICU.
“Day 10, Legend Brian Samuels and Mommy staying STRONG,” Mena shared with her social media supporters. “So far five out of the ten days I felt lost,” the celebrity mom said. “I’m feeling guilty, confused, and scared. I’ve been getting phone calls and receiving messages,” Erica revealed. “I’m asked a million times how I’m doing and if I’m ok. But how can you be doing? Can you really be ok right now? BUT I remind myself, they love me and they are reaching out BECAUSE they love me.”
Family members and friends called to check in on Erica and Legend. Meanwhile, Safaree was allegedly missing in action. “Safaree just had a baby who he hasn’t seen in 4 days that’s in the NICU,” Erica shared while blasting Joe Budden’s ex, Kaylin Garcia, who Mena believed was having an affair with her estranged husband.
“My son not even a week old yet and he d*cking you down,” Erica told Kaylin. “I hope this is something you proud of shorty,” Mena wrote to Garcia. “This man lost his whole family officially. I wish you both the best.”
Legend was released from the hospital days after Erica gave an update on her family. The LHHATL star celebrated by sharing a picture of her son with his older sister, Safire. Erica and Safaree have two kids together. Erica also has a son named King from a previous relationship.
