Chrissy Teigen is dealing with the reality of miscarriage nearly a year after her and John Legend’s son, Jack Cannon, was stillborn. The cookbook author recently delved into her feeling while reminiscing about her and her husband’s humble beginnings in New York.
Chrissy shared a candid of her and John at the beloved Frank Restaurant on 2nd avenue and 5th street in New York City. “We’ve been going to @frankrestaurant for … man, maybe 13, 14 years now,” Teigen told her fans. “We used to live just a couple blocks away, right across from the hell’s angels in the east village,” the cookbook author revealed. “John had a basement apartment with a roommate and I used to sneak cigarettes (ew) through the little half window that lined up with the sidewalk. Basically, a window where you could only see people’s shoes.”
Teigen went on to share why she was thinking of past times in New York. The celebrity’s miscarriage sat at the forefront of her thought patterns.
“I’m slightly down lately,” Chrissy admitted. “It kind of started when I was thinking of my book caption and typed out ‘my third baby is here,’ as in [the] cookbook, then realized my third baby will never be here,” the celebrity shared. “Then I realized I threw myself into the book to not think of the real, actual third baby,” Chrissy continued. “I don’t really feel like I fully processed Jack and now that I don’t have the alcohol to numb it away, things are just … there, waiting to be acknowledged. I guess what I’m saying here is life is so f*cking complicated.”
John Legend and Chrissy Teigen lost their third child due to pregnancy complications last September. Chrissy decided to visit the doctor after a month of irregular bleeding too great to be considered spotting. Doctors tried several methods to save the baby. Jack, however, ultimately lacked enough fluids to survive.
Chrissy admitted to initially turning to alcohol after losing her and John Legend’s son. The cookbook author has since taken a sober path on her journey to healing. John and Chrissy have two kids, Luna and Miles, in addition to their late son, Jack.
