Porsha Williams’ daughter, Pilar Jhena “PJ” McKinley, has been in the hospital for one week after having her tonsils removed. The Real Housewives of Atlanta (RHOA) star recently took to Instagram to express gratitude.
“I want to take a moment and thank God for My daughter’s continued healing after having her tonsils and adenoids removed,” Porsha told her social media fans. “This is such a hard recovery for new parents to watch but I remain calm in trusting God,” the celebrity mom declared.
“Lil PJ is so strong and she has been able to weather the ups and downs of this recovery like a lil champ,” Porsha told her social media fans. “I can’t help but want to also pray for the many other parents of children who were at her hospital,” Williams shared. “I pray God’s angels continue to watch over those babies and that they have a full recovery,” the RHOA star exclaimed.
“Thank you to all family and friends who have texted and sent flowers. I love you and it is much appreciated,” Porsha added. “PJ is still kinda in the thick of it after a week in hospital but she’s doing much, much better. If you have been through this surgery before you know toddlers can be a lil stubborn but with love and encouragement they make it through.”
Tonsils are essentially two clusters of tissue located near the back of the throat. Adenoids are located right behind the nose. Both tonsils and adenoids work to filter out harmful bacteria and viruses, which ultimately guards the body against developing infections. Tonsils and adenoids sometimes do more harm than good when they lead to throat infections and interfere with a child’s sleeping routine. Like Porsha, most parents decide to have these tissues removed at the sign of consistent infections instead of waiting things out.
