Cardi B is not making plans for a baby shower to celebrate the impending birth of her second child. The ‘Money’ rapper shared her reasoning with Stationhead radio listeners on Tuesday (July 20).
“I’m not having a baby shower,” Cardi B revealed. “That’s why I did Kulture’s birthday really, really big,” the rapper shared. “I just get overwhelmed when I do these big birthdays and I just feel like the baby shower with Kulture’s birthday is just too close. Just to see the same people over again, and it’s like, not doing it.”
Cardi B and Offset went all out to commemorate their daughter’s third birthday earlier this month. Kulture enjoyed a princess-themed party filled with extravagant decorations and equally luxurious gifts. Kulture received a Richard Mille watch (valued at $250,000) from her dad and a custom-made necklace by Elliot Eliantte valued at more than $100,000.
Cardi B and Offset officially confirmed their expectancy a few weeks ago, The news came after much speculation that Cardi was pregnant and trying to keep her family’s expansion from the public.
Some women go to great lengths when preparing to tell their partners about another baby. Cardi B, however, kept it simple when sharing her pregnancy with Offset. “[I told him], ‘I think I’m pregnant, bro,'” Cardi said of her revelation to Offset. “There is something so dear about this pregnancy and I feel like I’m starting a new chapter,” the rapper continued. “I’m happy about that,” Cardi shared.
Cardi B and Offset’s second child will make their daughter a big sister for the first time. Offset also has three children from previous relations who will be older siblings again when Cardi gives birth.
Offset and Cardi B are expecting their second child to arrive in the coming weeks. The little one will make Offset a father of five kids.
