Dwyane Wade spent the holiday in the Hamptons with his wife, Gabrielle Union, and daughter, Kaavia James. The celebrity family took time for relaxation at North Fork Wine Country.
“Family Time North Fork Edition,” Gabrielle told her social media fans. The L.A.’s Finest star also uploaded a live picture that showed her smiling while standing between her husband and daughter. “Kaavia is just too adorable,” one fan wrote in response to the social media post. “She really be (sic) in her own world,” another Instagram follower noted.
Anyone familiar with Kaavia’s Instagram page knows that her world reigns supreme. The little one has gained so much popularity online that Kaav’s parents decided to publish a children’s book, Shady Baby, which was written with their daughter’s personality in mind.
“Having this little girl who just melts my heart,” Dwyane Wade said during a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly (EW). “When she calls me Daddy and she runs to me, I’m going to go in protective mode. I’m gonna grab her, hug her,” the celebrity father added. “Then I’ll jump into parent mode, and hopefully, if the other parent is not trippin’, try to make [the kids] understand why playing together is essential.”
Gabrielle’s parenting style involves less adult intervention. “I’m more of the figure-it-out-on-your-own kind of parent,” Union told EW. “Like, ‘That’s life, things are gonna happen, and you have to figure out how to problem-solve.'”
Kaavia’s character in Shady Baby certainly figures out the essence of problem-solving. The youngster encounters several challenges while navigating life. Shady Baby, nevertheless, finds her way with the help of her family and friends.
“We thought, we can make shade the superpower and the foundation of the book and then, in turn, make accountability and being corrected something to be celebrated,” Gabrielle Union said when recently discussing the book with <em<ESSENCE. “Taking Ls is something to be celebrated,” the veteran actress added. “It doesn’t have to be some dramatic thing that you buck back against.”
