Bobby Brown had the support of his wife, Alicia Etheredge, and son, Cassius, at his VERZUZ battle against Keith Sweat on Thursday (July 1). The recording artist’s son stole the spotlight at one point with incredible dance moves.
Cassius took to the stage to groove to his father’s hit single ‘On My Own.’ The youngster gave all the right dance moves as his dad cheered for him. Keith Sweat also celebrated Cassius as the little one basked in the spotlight during the song.
Many could not get enough of the epic VERZUZ battle that was the sing-off between Bobby Brown and Keith Sweat. Viewers, of course, had their preferences in terms of who was their favored artist. The majority, however, agreed that both recording artists were winners at the end of the night.
“You really did your thang up there boss,” Mike Merrill told Bobby Brown after the battle convened. “Keep pedaling King,” the actor encouraged. Another of Bobby’s supporters wrote, “You killed it.”
Bobby Brown has won several awards and continues to be a blueprint from which up-and-coming artists benefit. The recording artist’s 1988 album, Don’t Be Cruel, is considered a classic by many because of hits such as ‘My Perogative’ and ‘On Our Own,’ and ‘Every Little Step.’
Bobby Brown shard his belief of R&B heading for a major comeback during an interview with URBANBRIDGEZ. “I think R&B is coming back,” Brown shared with the interviewer. “I think it’s needed out there for the masses,” the celebrity added.
“Everybody needs to be talking about love and not booty shake here and booty shake there and suck you right here,” Bobby continued. “I mean music just needs to go somewhere else now,” the legendary artist explained. “I’m glad I’m a part of trying to take it somewhere else.”

Bobby Brown has three kids – Cassius , Bodhi, and Hendrix – with Alicia Etheredge. The R&B singer fathers seven kids in all.
