Cardi B showed off her baby bump at the 2021 BET Awards held at Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, California, this past Sunday (June 27). The ‘Money’ rapper performed on stage in an outfit that placed her protruding stomach in the spotlight.
Cardi announced her expectancy of another child on Sunday before her smash-hit performance at the BET Awards. The rapper took to Instagram to share the news with a candid in which she cradled her baby bump while looking up. “#2,” Cardi captioned underneath the picture.
The celebrity’s Instagram photo was confirmation for many who suspected Cardi B was pregnant. The celebrity nearly gave away her secret last Sunday (June 20) while celebrating Father’s Day. Cardi B wrote a sweet note to her husband, Offset, that indicated she was expecting another child.
“Happy Father’s Day daddy shark @offsetyrn,” Cardi wrote to Offset. “You’re such a[n] amazing father and you really bussing your a** for your kids now and future,” she added. “I hope you enjoy your day today.”
Many noticed the words “kids now and future” and ran wild with imaginations. “Mark my words,” one fan wrote with assurance. “Cardi B is pregnant,” the supporter exclaimed. “Cause all these pics and videos where things are conveniently hiding her stomach ain’t no coincidence,” the social media follower said in reference to Cardi B’s recent Instagram posts that strategically hid her stomach.
Cardi B and Offset’s second child will join the couple’s daughter, Kulture, at home. The newest addition to the family will make Offset a father of five kids. Cardi B spoke on her life as a mom during a recent interview with Vogue magazine.
“I could shake my a**, I could be the most ratchet-est person ever, I could get into a fight tomorrow, but I’m still a great mom,” the celebrity shared with the publication. “All the time I’m thinking about my kid,” Cardi B added.
“I’m shaking my a**, but at the same time I’m doing business, I’m on the phone with my business manager saying, make sure that a percentage of my check goes to my kid’s trust,” the celebrity mom further explained. “I give my daughter so much love, and I’m setting her up for a future. I want to tell her that a lot of the sh*t that I have done in life — no matter what I did, knowing that I wanted to have kids made me go harder to secure a good future for my kids.”
