Safaree wants joint custody of his and Erica Mena’s kids. The Love and Hip Hop (LHH) star recently responded to his wife’s divorce petition.

According to TMZ,
“[Safaree] just threw down the gauntlet in his response to Erica’s custody request in their divorce. According to new legal docs, obtained by TMZ, Safaree says he wants joint legal custody, meaning he wants a say in parenting decisions for their infant daughter, Safire, and their second baby due next month.
What’s more … Safaree says he wants consistent and uninterrupted parenting and visitation with his kids. He says this is in the best interest of the kids.”
Erica Mena filed to divorce Safaree last month. The Love and Hip Hop star filed documents with the Fayette County Superior Court in Georgia where she resides with her husband.
Safaree agreed to let Erica and their kids reside in the family home so long as she agrees to refinance the residence in her name. Such a financial move significantly reduces liability for Safaree and also allows him to reap any equity that has accrued.
Erica and Safaree have struggled to maintain their marriage for months. In fact, Safaree came under significant backlash last year after suggesting he did not want more kids because Erica gained weight during her pregnancy with their daughter, Safire Majesty.

Not only did fans scrutinize Safaree for being superficial in terms of Erica’s pregnancy pounds, but they also criticized the celebrity father for seemingly deceiving his wife.
In the clip, Erica appeared a bit shocked to learn of her husband’s desire to not have more kids. She previously expressed her desire to give their daughter a younger sibling.

Erica recently told her social media fans that she was “absolutely never getting pregnant again” because it was “not easy doing it alone.” Mena shared such a revelation days before officially filing for divorce.
Erica Mena and Safaree are expecting their second child together. The little one will make Erica a mother of three kids.
