Kimora Lee Simmons celebrated her son Kenzo’s 12th birthday this past weekend. The fashion mogul took to Instagram on Sunday (May 30) to celebrate her son’s special day.
“The boy is 12,” Kimora wrote online. “Happy birthday super smart, talented, gorgeous, funny, TALL amazing #KenzoLee,” the fashionista wrote to her son. “My first boy,” Kimora noted. “Mama loves you beyond measure! We have a pre-teen on our hands!”
Aoki Lee Simmons also took to Instagram to celebrate her younger brother’s birthday. “Words cannot express how I feel about this kid,” Aoki shared along with a picture of Kenzo at his party. “He is the most compassionate person I know,” Aoki told her social media fans.
“[Kenzo is] the first to lend a hand, [and] the first to care for someone who is sick,” Aoki said of her brother. “I love seeing his passion and talent for basketball.”
“This kid has worked with the Los Angeles homeless, with Syrian and Somali Refugees in Greece, he cooks for his local disadvantaged community all the time. And he does these things because he wants to. He studies hard, trains hard, and always gives his best on the court and at home. You deserve the biggest Lakers party in the world Kenzo.”
Kimora Lee Simmons went to great lengths to give her son a Lakers-themed party to remember. The celebrity mom gave her son a cake with a candid of LeBron James front-and-center. Kimora also decorated the house with purple and gold balloons. Kenzo and his younger brother, Gary, wore Lakers jerseys to the party. The youngest member of the family, Wolfe, opted for a different style.
Spending time at home has been the norm these past few months because of to coronavirus pandemic, which led to nationwide lockdowns. Kimora shared how the quarantine affected her family during an interview last year.
“Being home with your kids, you’re all of these things in one,” Kimora shared with Us Weekly. “You’re the mom and the dad and the disciplinarian and the principal,” the celebrity mom said. “I think all of us wear these many different hats,” Kimora concluded.
Kimora Lee Simmons has five kids – Kenzo, Aoki, Ming, Gary, and Wolfe – in all.
