LeBron James and his family are taking you behind the scenes of Mountain Dew’s latest commercial for the MTN DEW RISE ENERGY ad. The NBA star gave 60 seconds to the cause.
“Who would I be if I snoozed,” LeBron asks at the beginning of the commercial. “If I [would have] let myself get distracted, I might have been LeBron James, Salsa King,” the celebrity says with a hint of questioning. “Nah,” James says in the end. “I choose to Rise,” the NBA star declares.

Fabiola Torres, Chief Marketing Officer and Senior Vice President of the PepsiCo Energy Category, commented on LeBron James and the family’s collaboration with Mountain Dew for the brand’s latest ad. “Energy management remains a priority for consumers, and we’re excited to be working with LeBron to show how MTN DEW RISE ENERGY can be that morning energy to help you seize the day,” Torres shared.

LeBron James has certainly busied himself with projects that improve society at large. The Los Angeles Lakers star has a school, I Promise School, in his hometown that carries the mission of excellence. I Promise School was established in 2018 with the motto “We Are Family.”
“I was one of those kids that come from a very underprivileged household, a very challenging household,” LeBron said during a recent interview in which he discussed his motivation to open a school in Akron, Ohio.

“I questioned myself too when I was younger. Where our school was located, I walked those same streets,” the celebrity said. “I remember walking up and down those streets or riding my bike up and down those streets.”
