Erykah Badu’s daughter, Puma Curry, continues to wow fans with her voice. The 16-year-old recently jumped online to do a cover of Alicia Keys’ “If I Ain’t Got You” and she did not disappoint.
After belting out Keys’ popular song in a 27 second Tik Tok Video, Puma left her followers wanting to more.

“I was literally frozen staring at my phone, mouth open like wow”
One fan wanted the teenager to do a cover of some of her famous mom’s music. “Please cover some of your mamas music. So talented and so beautiful”.
Over the past couple of years, Puma has showed off her vocals in several Tik Tok videos. The teen has uploaded several cover performances, which have included ‘Best Part’ by Daniel Caesar and H.E.R. and ‘Almost There’ from Disney’s Princess and The Frog. Puma also sang with her mom during Erykah Badu’s appearance on Good Morning, Dallas in 2019.
Puma celebrated her sixteenth birthday last year on July 5th with a quarantine-friendly gathering. “Happy sixteenth Summer, Puma,” Erykah wrote to her daughter. “May you have everything that is for you,” the recording artist shared. “Not only do we love you beyond your understanding, [but] we really like you.”
Puma’s dad, rapper The D..O.C, added, “…Because your mother is an amazing woman, I don’t worry a lot about you.” Badu continues, saying, “Puma, you are prepared for this life. I don’t think you’re not ready for the world. I think the world isn’t ready for you.”
Badu also has a son named, Seven Benjamin, with rapper Andre 3000 from OutKast; and a daughter named Mars Merkaba with musician Jay Electronica.
