Congratulations to Tequan Richmond and Tetona Jackson on the arrival of their daughter, Harlie Giselle Richmond. The celebrities welcomed their baby girl earlier this week.
Tetona took to Instagram to announce her daughter’s birth. “I have never felt a love like this,” the actress declared. Tetona also shared candids of her newborn that gave fans a glimpse of Harlie’s face.
“Hooray,” one social media fan said in response to Tetona’s announcement. Another Instagram follower wrote, “This is the best news. Congratulations.”
Tequan Richmond and Tetona Jackson announced their expectancy a few days ago. Tequan shared a candid of him with a very pregnant Tetona to share the news of his family’s expansion. “Congratulations my guy,” one social media follower wrote. “Amazing,” another Instagram fan said. “Congratulations.”
Tetona and Tequan decided to keep the news of their expectancy a secret. What was not top-secret information was Richmond’s departure from General Hospital after a six-year stint as TJ Ashford on the soap opera.
“To be honest, I just had a lot of great opportunities that came during my time there,” TJ said of his seemingly abrupt end. “But I was under contract. I was told I would be able to break out for projects that I wanted to do. But it didn’t quite work out that way which was disappointing because that was one of the things that was really exciting about my contract.”

Richmond further explained, “I booked a pilot called The Chi. We were trying to get cleared for that but it wasn’t working out. So, as much as I love General Hospital, and was so grateful for the opportunity, we came to a mutual decision to part ways; so I could continue to pursue other opportunities.”
Both Tequan Richmond and Tetona Jackson star in BET’s Boomerang. Harlie Giselle is the celebrities’ first child.
