"Fight The Good Fight"

Yesterday was International Women’s Day, and celebrities across Instagram, including Kimora Lee Simmons, Tamera Mowry, Ciara and more took time out to commemorate the day. International Women’s Day was enacted to highlight the social, economic, cultural, and political accomplishments of women worldwide. The holiday was initially established on March 19th. Women’s Day was, however, moved to March 8th as more countries recognized the holiday.

Kimora Lee Simmons shared a candid that featured her daughters, Ming and Aoki Lee Simmons, in full glam mode. “A few of my biggest inspirations,” Kimora captioned underneath the picture. The celebrity mom also shared throwback candids of her mom, Joanne Perkins.

Actress Tamera Mowry also commemorated International Women’s Day by celebrating her daughter, Ariah Housley. “May she grow up knowing she is loved,” the celebrity mom said. “My loving, compassionate Ariah. I know you will fight the good fight. To be #kind doesn’t mean to not be strong, to be strong doesn’t mean you lack #kindness. You can possess both. You are momma’s joy.”

Ciara shared a beautiful tribute to her daughter, Sienna Princess Wilson, to celebrate International Women’s Day. “I’m going to ALWAYS have your back,” the celebrity mom shared online. “I will always fight for you! Work as hard as I possibly can to pave the way for you,” Ciara shared.

“When I look at you, it makes me proud of myself,” the celebrity mom added. “I can’t wait to see the Woman you will become one day! You can literally do anything you put your mind to! I’m so proud to be your Mommy.”

Gabrielle Union also celebrated her daughter on Monday (Mar. 8). Gabrielle uploaded a candid of “three generations of bad*ss women” who included herself along with her mom, grandmother, and, of course, Kaavia James.

Meanwhile, Alexis Ohanian placed the spotlight on his wife, Serena Williams, and daughter, Alexis Olympia.

“Celebrating these two women every day,” Alexis Ohanian told his social media followers. “Trying to use my power, platform, and privilege to open doors that’ll be the legacy I leave this Boss Baby,” the celebrity father said.
