Solange’s son, Julez, has short, blonde hair. The 16-year-old debuted his new look on Instagram a few days ago.
Julez’s hair is more of a platinum blonde and cut extremely short. The look is a drastic difference from the long braided hair fans are accustomed to seeing on the teen’s Instagram page.
Some thought Julez cut his hair in an effort to bring a fresh look to 2021. The teen, however, told one of his social media fans who inquired about his new look that his haircut and color change was the result of work.
“It wasn’t my choice,” Julez said. “This is what happens when you model,” the teen added. It may be safe to look forward to seeing Solange’s son in campaigns in the coming months.
It would certainly be of little shock if Julez explored the fashion industry in the coming years. His mom, after all, is a walking style icon. Solange shared her balance between fashion and style during a 2017 interview with Fashionista.
“I used to be interested in fashion years ago,” the recording artist said. “But I felt that maybe I was setting my intentions on fashion and not enough on style. And so once I kind of made that decision to really kind of do this for me, my style has evolved and changed so much over the last 10 years, and I think that’s one of the most fun things about being a girl is getting to experiment and have fun and be light and express yourself through that.”
Will Julez get tips about fashion from his mom? Maybe so, maybe no. We will have to keep watching as the teen evolves to find out what he does in the field!
