Vibrant colors were the central piece of Mercy’s photo session with her mom and younger sisters. The young photographer took pictures of her family rocking brightly colored wigs in one shot. Mercy had Estere and Stella wear bright red and blue bandanas in another photo set.

“Reminding myself every second of the day to be grateful,” Madonna shared along with a video clip of her rocking a pink wig alongside Estere and Stella who wore red and green wigs. “I know in the blink of an eye, everything can change,” Madonna told her social media fans.

This year has been one of strong social justice for Madonna. The veteran recording artist made bold statements after the murder of George Floyd in May and continues to advocate for equality for all in America. Some have criticized Madonna for taking bold stances on issues such as racism, gun violence, and women’s rights in the United States. The recording artist, however, remains unfazed by the scrutiny.
“When I said I wanted to rule the world, I didn’t say: ‘I want to be the most famous person in the world.’ I didn’t say: ‘I want to be the richest person in the world.’ I said I wanted to rule the world,” Madonna said during an interview last year. “Well, what did I mean then, in my very young mind,” the recording artist pondered.
“I think I just meant I want to make a mark on the world, I want to be a somebody. Because I grew up feeling like a nobody, and I wanted to make a difference. I think that’s what I meant.”
