Laila Ali is aiming to be the example her daughter, Sydney Conway, wants to follow. The retired boxing champion recently shared an Instagram post that encouraged moms to be good role models for their kids.
“Moms, BE the woman you want your daughter to grow up to be,” Laila advised. “Our girls are always watching and listening,” the celebrity mom said. “They see how you treat others and allow others to treat you. They hear how you speak about others and allow others to speak to you. The same goes for fathers and boys.”

Laila Ali has served as a positive force in parenting since becoming a mom. “You want to make sure you have love in your heart. Love makes you want to give back,” Laila Ali shared. “We all want to see the same thing — we want food on the table, we want our family to be safe, to be successful in life and to be happy,” the retired boxer continued.
“Kids have so much access to things they don’t need to see and pay attention to,” Laila shared. “There’s so much opportunity for them to see people not treating each other kindly. It’s really important that we balance that out by showing how we should treat people.”
