Eddie Murphy’s son, Max Murphy, celebrated his second birthday on Monday (Nov. 30). The youngster enjoyed a small gathering with a personalized cake on his special day.
Max delved straightway into his cake, shaped like a car, as his family looked on with excitement. Max’s older sisters helped him enjoy the moment. Eddie Murphy stood over his son long enough to watch Max bite the roof of his cake car.
Eddie Murphy and his girlfriend, Paige Butcher, welcomed their son on November 30, 2018. Max was named in part after his late uncle, Charles Murphy, who passed away due to complications related to leukemia in 2017. “Both mother and son are doing well,” a representative of the family shared with the press after Paige gave birth.
Max Charles Murphy made Eddie a father of 10 children. The legendary comedian sat down with Ellen DeGeneres last year to talk about his life as a father.
“Men kind of look at me like, ‘He’s crazy. How much did that s—t cost?’ And women, it’s kind of like, something sexy about it I think,” Murphy shared. “[They’re like], ‘Eddie Murphy must be doing this thing. Eddie Murphy be getting it in.'”
Max is Eddie Murphy and Paige Butcher’s youngest son. The celebrity couple has two children together. Eddie Murphy is also a grandfather, thanks to his son with ex-wife Nicole Murphy. Stay tuned for more celebrity family news!
