Wayne Brady has passed down his singing talents to his daughter, Maile Brady.
On Friday, Brady took to his Instagram to wish his followers a ‘Happy Belated Thanksgiving’ and to share a clip of him and his daughter singing together.
“Last night my beautiful @theofficialmailebrady and I sat at the piano and sang a little bit. I cannot tell you the joy and pride that fills me when I’m in the presence of my daughter,” he captioned of the clip.
Adding, “She’s so talented and I’m humbled that this soul chose @mandietaketa and I to be her parents. I’m thankful for every second that I get w her. Time waits for no one and before I know it, she’ll be out living her life. I’m going to squeeze the crap out of moments like these!”
Brady’s ex-wife, Mandie, caught wind of the post and responded, “[Love] you both. So thankful.”
Brady recently told Access Hollywood that he and Mandie have a great co-parenting relationship.

“My ex-wife Mandie and I, we have a different and a very special situation than a lot of people that co-parent,” Wayne revealed. “For the entire duration of [Malie’s] life, we have co-parented as best friends,” Wayne said.
Wayne Brady and Mandie happen to live right next door to each other. “We live next door to each other, or a few homes away from each other, and we are keeping our isolation to just our two homes,” explained Brady of how he and his family are isolating during the pandemic. “We aren’t going over to anybody else’s house, we aren’t going out to supermarkets, so we have an extended bubble of just our homes. So we are the core four. So, I think that does make a good sitcom, which I’ll write,” he joked.
The comedian/ host says that the pandemic has brought him and his family together. “Moments like this bring you closer. We’ve been doing TikToks, we’ve been playing board games, we’ve been in my studio writing songs together and freestyling, walking the dogs up the canyon and up the streets,” says Brady. “It’s an amazing time for family, because it’s kind of like a time-out.”
