Girlfriends star Golden Brooks is a doting mom. The actress recently penned a sweet message to her daughter, Dakota Woodside.
“So proud of the little lady you’ve become,” Brooks wrote to her daughter. “Standing tall and smiling through it all,” the celebrity mom exclaimed. “Never letting anyone steal your joy,” Golden advised her daughter. “And to all the young girls out there, anyone who says you’re ‘extra’ are the ones who NEED to do more! … SHINE like the NORTH STAR you are and never let someone dim your light!”
Dakota Woodside is Golden Brooks’ daughter with actor D.B. Woodside. It was just a few weeks ago that Dakota celebrated her eleventh birthday with loved ones and a cake.
“Dakota, you have blessed Mommy and Daddy with your kindness, your intelligence, and your curious nature for the past 11 years,” D.B. shared on his daughter’s birthday. “We are so proud of you,” Woodside exclaimed. “I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: Your birth saved my life. And your life continues to be my guiding light, my salvation, my North Star.”
