Chloe X Halle continue to amaze fans and industry professionals alike with their style, grace, and pure talent. The Queen B mentees have made the most of their time in quarantine and have dropped one of the most transcendent projects to date, Ungodly Hour.
The new release is an adult version of the pair who, are older and wiser from when they first entered the business in 2018. To talk more about this journey, the duo recently sat down with Cosmopolitan Magazine for an interview to accompany their October 2020 cover where they gave insight into their newest hobby, the meaning of the title, Ungodly Hour, and more.

“I’ve gotten hooked, [on coloring], because I don’t really communicate how I feel inside,” Chloe comments. “I color when I’m upset or just feeling anxious,” Chloe continues. [Without that sense of control, she says,] “I get very anxious.”

In the article, the duo explains that “Ungodly Hour,” signifies, “the idea that there’s room for error and self-acceptance even at their flawed and most impious moments.” Chloe explains that, “It’s okay to accept all that you are, all of your layers. You at the ungodly hours.”

When the author of the article made the initial request to interview the duo separately, their publicist explained, “Chloe X Halle is one artist, together.” In the piece, Halle solidified the message by saying that, “Whenever we are apart, I feel like my right arm is missing.”

“Music has been such a healer for the Black community since the beginning of time,” Halle said in the interview. “Maybe it could help some people distract their minds from quarantine and what’s going on in the world today with hope and positivity.”
