You’ve danced to it at a wedding, get togethers, or just in your living room. The Cha Cha Slide, originally released by DJ Casper, aka Mr. C The Slide Man, on August 2, 2000, became a cult phenomenon not only in this country, but across the world, and hasn’t shown any sign of slowing down in popularity yet.
Well, Google thinks that this is fantastic and they have done something to help celebrate this milestone-a Google search easter egg that pays tribute to the song.
To try it yourself, head over to Google.com and type in the search bar, “Cha Cha Slide.” At the top of the search results page, you’ll see a card full of info on the hit song, as well as a sparkling microphone. Tap the microphone to direct you to the whole search results page “to the right, now.” Keep tapping in the same spot to continue getting your Google Search results through the steps of the “Cha Cha Slide.”
This isn’t the first time that Google has done something like this. They also did the same thing for “What Does The Fox Say” and “Do a Barrell Roll.”
Now that you have tried it, or at least you are about to, check out the video below, get the family together, and cha cha slide to celebrate. See how many new dance moves you can add to the popular dance to make it even more fun!
