Kelly Rowland’s son, Titan Weatherspoon, wants justice for Breonna Taylor. The ‘COFFEE’ singer recently shared a candid of her son along with a caption that advocated for the fallen EMT worker.
“Pondering on why the cops who killed Breonna Taylor haven’t been arrested,” Kelly’s caption read. The statement was a repost from the recording artist’s husband, Tim Weatherspoon, who has heavily used his platform to advocate for social justice these past few months. Still, Kelly’s post struck a different chord among social media followers because of her son’s candid, which showed him gazing outward as if he were in deep thought.
“Me too, Titan,” one fan wrote in response to Kelly Rowland’s Instagram post. “This was the best one yet,” another social media follower said of Kelly’s #TitanTuesday series. “Love this,” the fan wrote.
Breonna Taylor was murdered inside of her home on March 13, 2020, after a no-knock warrant was carried out by two detectives and a veteran police officer. The officers returned fire to Breonna’s boyfriend who thought the home was being burglarized because of the officers’ failure to identify themselves upon entering the home. Taylor’s boyfriend is currently being held for attempted murder. Meanwhile, the three officers responsible for murdering Breonna remain without charges.
Porsha Williams was among dozens of protesters arrested earlier this month while demanding justice for Breonna Taylor in front of the Kentucky attorney general’s home. The attorney general, Daniel Cameron, ensured the protesters were charged with a felony for allegedly trying to intimidate him. The felony charges were ultimately dropped against the protesters as Cameron continues to ask for “time” to determine if the three officers who murdered Breonna Taylor should be charged with a crime.
