Serena Williams and Alexis Ohanian’s daughter, Alexis Olympia, is getting into the investment arena at a very young age. The 2-year-old is officially a joint owner of a new National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) side called Angel City. This new venture makes Alexis the youngest owner of a pro sports team in history. She is definitely a boss baby!
Serena Williams joined Natalie Portman and a number of other women in funding the new LA side. In addition to making Alexis Olympia one of the youngest investors in history, Angel City also paves the way for California to host professional women’s football for the first time in ten years.
“The time has come to reshape expectations on and off the soccer field,” an Instagram post on Angel City’s official social media page reads. “This is the place. The time is now. Welcome to the beginning.”
It should be little surprise that Alexis Olympia is an investor at just 2-years-old. Her father is, after all, a significant part of the industry and her mom recently told the press how she plans to advance in venture investing.
“I want to be a part of it,” Serena said during a recent interview in which she revealed why it was significant for her to be a part of the investment process. “I want to be in the infrastructure,” the tennis champion shared. “I want to be the brand, instead of just being the face.”
