July is recognized as Fibroid Awareness Month, and Kenya Moore is speaking on a few things. The Real Housewives of Atlanta (RHOA) star recently took to Instagram to praise her OB/GYN for saving her from undergoing a hysterectomy to remove fibroids.
“SOOOOO MANY OF US suffer from fibroids,” Kenya told her social media fans earlier this week. “It is THE reason that I suffered from infertility,” Moore said. “My amazing #obgyn effortlessly removes my largest fibroids and preserved my uterus,” Kenya told her fans.

Some may remember Kenya Moore telling the press about her labor and delivery experience, which included a C-section unlike any other. “They couldn’t get the baby out,” Kenya revealed. “There were all these complications and they knew if they cut into a fibroid, I could potentially bleed out and die.”
Kenya went on to tell the media, “They ended up cutting me vertically too, to just get the baby out and make sure I survived the surgery. They were so scared they were going to lose me.” In the end, Kenya Moore’s doctor told her that her labor and delivery experience, which included anesthesia, was “one for the books.”
