On May 25, NBA star Derrick Rose and his wife Alaina Rose were proud to celebrate their son, London Marley Rose’s first birthday.
Derrick Rose and his family may be quarantined due to the coronavirus, but that didn’t stop them from giving baby London a great celebration. On London’s Instagram page (which his parents run), they posted a few photos and clips of London on his birthday. One post shows two photos of London in rocket-themed pajamas, with the caption reading: “1 years old today 🥳.” The next post features a GIF of Rose and London playing in their swimming pool and the caption reads: “Enjoying my day 🥳.”
A child’s birthday party isn’t complete without a cake, and Derrick Rose made sure that was covered. In another birthday clip, London sits in a high chair surrounded by blue and white balloons and adorably plays with his wonderfully decorated birthday cake which reads “London is One” on it. The post was captioned: “The big 1.”
Alaina Rose also took to Instagram to celebrate her adorable son’s special day. She posted a few cute photos of herself with baby London and captioned the post: “My little man is 1 today @londonmarleyrose 🥳😭🥺🥰💙.”
In addition to London, Derrick Rose and Alaina also have their 2-year daughter, Layla Malibu Rose. Derrick Rose also has a son, 7-year-old Derrick “PJ” Rose Jr., from his previous relationship with stylist Mieka Reese.
The current 2019-2020 NBA season has been suspended since March 11 due to the coronavirus pandemic. While waiting for the NBA season to resume, Derrick Rose has been enjoying quality quarantine time with his children. Rose has posted many adorable moments with his kids on social media, such as the time he locked his kids out of their playhouse. A Twitter video captures an Instagram Story clip of Rose inside his children’s playhouse holding the door shut while London and Layla whine outside, as they can’t get in. The tweet humorously reads: “D Rose taking this lockdown that serious that he locking his own kids out the house 😂.”
