Growing up with Kermit the Frog, Miss Piggy, Animal, Fozzie Bear, The Great Gonzo, and the rest of the gang was a rite of passage. Jim Henson’s Muppets were iconic characters that every child loved. Well, the nostalgic characters are about to put in a new appearance for the next generation starting in July on Disney+ in a new highly anticipated original series, Muppets Now.

According to a recent press release, billed as unscripted, the show will feature a six-episode first season. It will follow Scooter, who “rushes to make his delivery deadlines and upload the brand-new Muppet series for streaming. They are due now, and he’ll need to navigate whatever obstacles, distractions, and complications the rest of the Muppet gang throws at him.”

The Muppets was canceled in 2016 after a short-lived stint on the ABC network as critics and fans didn’t react warmly to the reboot. Hopefully, the first season will lead to many many more episodes of our favorite characters and their amazingly funny adventures.

Who was your favorite Muppet? Sound-off and let us know. We cannot wait until this new series hits the airwaves on July 31st! Will you be tuning in? We know that we will and will be excited to do so! Quarantine streaming just keeps getting better.
