Reality television star Malika Haqq has celebrated Mother’s Day before, but this time, she is celebrating it as a mother herself.
A friend of reality television star Khloe Kardashian and a frequent quest on their ever-popular show Keeping Up With the Kardashians, Malika Haqq first announced her pregnancy in September 2019.
“The reason why I was so excited to learn that I was pregnant was because I knew that my life was going to change for the better,” Malika said during an episode of her Facebook show Side by Side, which she does with her twin sister Khadijah. “The greatest blessing that I’ve always wanted but didn’t know I was going to get, is finally here.”
Malika Haqq’s “greatest blessing” arrived on March 14 when she gave birth to her baby boy Ace Flores (whom she shares with her ex-boyfriend, rapper O.T. Genasis), officially making her a mother. Nearly two months later on Mother’s Day (May 11), Malika marked the occasion with a cute picture of herself holding her son and wrote an emotional post about the joy and happiness Ace has given her in the caption.
“Grateful for the road that led me to you. God chose me to be yours and I am better because of you, Ace. Your spirit has given my life meaning and defined what love is for me, abundant & unconditional. It hasn’t always been easy, but you are easy to love. You have the sweetest smile I have ever known. I look forward to our life– all the joys we will experience and lessons we will learn together,” said Malika. “As you explore life innocently, I will always try to catch you before you fall and when you do fall, I’ll show you how to get back up again. I promise to guide you to no end… You are the vow I will never break. You are my person. I love you so much baby boy 🖤 Mommy.”
