Gianna would have turned 14-years-old last Friday (May 1). The teen passed away in January alongside her dad in a helicopter crash.
“Gianna loved to wear a red bow in all of her school pictures,” Vanessa said in a sweet post that paid tribute to her daughter. “Red means love and life,” Mrs. Bryant continued.
“To commemorate Gigi’s birthday today, please consider wearing red, caption an act of kindness or show how you will play Gigi’s way since she always gave everything she did her all and led with kindness. Vanessa asked her social media fans to “please use the hashtag #PlayGigisWay” to identify their motivation behind rocking red.

Monica was one of many celebrities to wear red in honor of GiGi. “Today we wear red in honor of GiGi,” Laiyah wrote online. Monica’s daughter also shared candids of herself with the family. “My Act of kindness was paying for someone’s groceries,” Laiyah told her social media fans. “What will yours be,” the youngster asked. “It doesn’t matter if it’s big or small make someone’s day #PlayGiGisWay.”
Gianna “GiGi” Bryant had dreams of playing for the WNBA during her adult years. The youngster’s life was cut short before she could see her ambitions through. The WNBA player, however, gave GiGi an honorary draft into the association because of all of her hard work on the Mamba team.
