Derek Fisher and Gloria Govan are teaming up to bring relief to first responders during the coronavirus pandemic. The celebrity couple recently took to Instagram to spread a bit of positivity and to explain how they are using their resources to help.
“Derek and I have a lot of friends who work with the first responders, medical offices, and [on] the frontline,” Laura told social media fans. “We are utilizing our voice and platform to help support them,” the celebrity mom said.
Derek Fisher also chimed in on the efforts that he and his girlfriend are making during this time of crisis. “A couple of the ways that we plan on doing so is to one, help with medical equipment,” the celebrity said. “Anything that we can do to help to find through our direct sources and relationships – masks, gowns, et cetera – we’re going to try to do so,” Fisher explained. The star athlete also said that he and his girlfriend are partnering with various businesses to feed first responders every week.
The unity that Gloria Govan and Derek Fisher displayed in their recent announcement is in sync with her custody agreement with the father of her twin sons. According to The Blast,
“Gloria Govan and Matt Barnes have FINALLY settled their long-running child custody and support issues and the “Basketball Wives” star has been granted the 50/50 custody of her kids she has long sought.”
Gloria Govan and Matt Barnes’ sons, Isaiah and Carter, presently alternate weeks between their mom and dad’s homes. The celebrity parents also vary holidays in accordance with their agreement.
Gloria Govan recently took to Instagram to dote on her family. “My dad always says, ‘The days are long but the years are short,'” the celebrity mom wrote. “There are times where I swear I want to strangle them but, man oh man, I couldn’t and don’t want to imagine my life without them!”
Govan went on to tell her fans, “These are hard times for a lot of people (including us) but we’re still blessed to be here, to be alive, well and safe. From my family (missing you @chloe.rogers4) to yours; sending you all love, light, and positive vibes.”
