“They’re 3 and 5 now,” Amina says of her daughters. The celebrity mom and her then-partner, Peter Gunz, welcomed their oldest child, Cori, two years before shocking the world with a pregnancy announcement to remember in 2016. Amina was forced to grapple with Tara Wallace’s expectancy of Peter Gunz’s child. Many thought Amina would be envious of Tara. Buddafly had a surprise of her own, though, in the form of a pregnancy announcement. Bronx was born months after the famous announcement.

“It was crazy,” Amina Buddafly says of her time on Love and Hip Hop. “It was interesting,” the celebrity mom muses. “Even though it came with a lot of bad, people sometimes don’t take you serious. I really don’t look at the negative. I try to focus on the good, which my fanbase did grow. I can do things I wasn’t able to do before. People are slowly but surely seeing that I’m a real artist. I’m not a reality girl who now wants to sing. I really come from music.”

Getting back to the music has received an extra boost now that Amina is a mom. “They made me a better and stronger woman,” the celebrity mom says of the motivation that comes from parenting. “I can do anything,” Buddafly adds.

“I feel good about who I’ve become as a person, then as an artist,” the LHH star continues. “When things don’t work out and you keep going, you get better every time. All my life I’ve been doing music and I’ve never had a #1 record, but I’m still here. I’m still doing it, that means something. I see a growth. My fans who really do follow me and know me, they see the growth in each and every album I put out. At this point, I really do it for the love.”

Amina Buddafly and Peter Gunz have two kids together. Peter fathers ten kids in all. Stay tuned for more Love and Hip Hop family news!
