After years of trying to keep him private, rapper Drake has finally decided to show his 2-year-old son Adonis to the world. On March 30, Drake posted a series of photos on Instagram, which not only include Drake with his son, but also include Adonis’s mother, artist Sophie Brussaux.
In the caption, Drake wrote a motivational message about the important things in life amidst the COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic and closed it with how he cannot wait to meet with his family again. It reads in part:

“Be conscious, especially right now of fears coming in from others, and recognize that not everything should be held by you. Laughter is your best medicine, but tears can also be a powerful release. Let go of any judgment you may have around that. Remember that you are never alone, and if you need to be reminded of that ask for support and it will show up. Everything comes down to intention, and even though there are conflicting energies circling around us you must KNOW…It will rebuild. But in order for that to happen, you have to do exactly that. Trust. You have the biggest heart and that is your greatest gift. It’s impossible to always control your surroundings, but when you shift the focus to how you want to feel, everything will conspire to assist you. I love and miss my beautiful family and friends and I can’t wait for the joyful day when we are all able to reunite. Until then please keep your lights on.”
Adonis was born in October 2017 after he had a one-night stand with Sophie Brussaux in January 2017. Adonis’s existence was unknown to all except a few select people until rapper Pusha T revealed Adonis in his diss track “The Story of Adidon” during his much-publicized feud with Drake in 2018. Drake went on to confirm Adonis’ existence and that Sophie Brussaux was indeed the mother. If the photos are any indication, Drake has apparently built a loving relationship with his son since then.
