Childish Gambino’s kids, Legend and Drake, are helping him promote his new album. The youngsters were photographed with their father this past weekend for a promotional picture. Both Legend and Drake wore Spider-Man masks in the candid. The kids are also featured on their father’s record.
Childish Gambino has always approached his music with a sense of mystery that often intrigues the masses. Many are still dissecting the music video for ‘This Is America,’ which is laced with symbolism.
His new album, called Donald Glover Presents 3.15.20, follows the same form of brilliance with the project only having two defined tracks and nearly an hour of continuous music. Most listeners do not know when one track ends and the other begins. Still, fans are grateful for another creation by Gambino.
“Turns out we’re not in the darkest timeline,” one YouTube fan said after hearing all 57 minutes of the project. Another lover of Childish Gambino’s music wrote, “I think this album works perfectly as a finale to the Childish Gambino persona.”
The fan went on to say, “He loves himself. He’s accepted himself and no longer struggles with his identity. With nothing left to prove, maybe he just makes music for himself. Now he can more freely pursue other creative or business ventures.”
It is not abundantly clear that Childish Gambino is hanging up his music artistry cape after this album. What remains obvious, however, is the love that fans have for this out-of-the-box creator.
