Chris Bosh was surrounded by his wife and kids as he celebrated his 36th birthday yesterday on March 24th. The former NBA player had a fantastic day despite having to celebrate amid the novel coronavirus outbreak.
“No where else I’d rather be celebrating my birthday than with my favorite people by my side‼️Ya boy is 36 and I’ve never felt better,” Bosh shared on Instagram.
He continued, “Thank you my darling @mrsadriennebosh for always making sure I feel special. The kids went all out today to show me the love and I def felt it. Picking herbs from our garden for dinner, helping set the table, and making me gifts from the heart. Thanks for all that reached out with bday wishes, stay safe out there.”
Adrienne Bosh also took to her Instagram to send birthday wishes to her husband and to thank him for being a great dad. “Thank you for being silly and fun, for being patient and understanding, for being warm and loving. Thank you for setting an example to our children every single day and for loving all 6 of us so unconditionally. You’re the man of my dreams and my best friend. Nothing could get in the way of celebrating you today! Happy Birthday, my love. @chrisbosh May this year bring you everything and more. I am so grateful to have you by my side and I cherish you more and more each day.”
Bosh was forced into early retirement in March 2019 due to blood-clotting issues.
“That part of my life is over,” he said shortly after deciding to retire. “That has been a tough thing to deal with but I’m good, which has taken a long time (to accept) … I could have kept playing. But man, that time has passed. I’ve made the decision not to pursue it anymore.”
“I have a different mindset now because although we all do something and we get to experience things, you have to cherish it because you never know when it’s going to stop,” Bosh later said after his jersey retirement ceremony. “I was very excited the last year that I played.”
Chris and Adrienne have been married since 2011 and parent five children together, including Chris’ daughter from a previous relationship.
