We all remember the recent drama surrounding North West’s rendition of Zaza’s What I Do at her father’s 2020 Paris fashion week show. Feelings were hurt, words were exchanged, and apologies were made. Kim Kardashian herself went online and said that Zaza, in addition to That Girl Lay Lay, were among North West’s favorite rappers.
Now that we are all caught up, let’s fast forward to the present. Recently, That Girl Lay Lay had a play date of her own with West herself and it looks like they had nothing less than a blast.
But just who is That Girl Lay Lay? If you remember, this talented young lady hit burst onto the scene in 2018 when a video of her freestyling went viral. Since then, she signed a record deal, making history in August 2018, becoming one the youngest female rap artists to sign a record deal. She appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, revealing that she started rapping when she was five-years-old, telling the popular talk-show host that, “[Freestyling] takes practice. I’m still practicing. I’m going to get better at it. You just do what you have off the dome.”
So, now that North West has had the opportunity to spend some time with one of her two idols, is a play date with Zaza on her to-do-list next? Well, there is a strong possibility that there may be more on the horizon for Zaza and North than just hanging out. Zaza wants to collaborate on a new project together.
“We’re going to rap and go to Disneyland and stuff like that,” the five-year-old said in a video obtained by TMZ. “That’s cool. If you can get them into a studio we can probably go and sing Money Coming In.”
