Malika Haqq and O.T. Genasis, real name Odis Oliver Flores, plan to co-parent their baby boy. Malika took to her Instagram page on Wednesday (February 12) to explain how she and her ex-boyfriend will move forward as parents after their public breakup.
“Relationships don’t always work out the way we would hope,” Haqq told her social media fans. “But between love and friendship, we have created a baby boy that will be here very soon,” the actress explained.
Malika Haqq and O.T. Genasis officially ended their relationship last year. The celebrities did not give details about the demise of their union, which caused many to believe the breakup was temporary. Malika shared the news of her expectancy at the beginning of this year.
“I’ve been single the last eight months, but I am in no way alone,” Malika told her fans on Wednesday. “O.T. and I have attended every doctor’s [appointment] and overall loved on our son together while anticipating his arrival,” the mom-to-be said.
“My priority over the past few months has been to nurture and protect my unborn child,” Haqq continued. “Our baby would not be who he is without his father and I thank God for the spirit that grows inside of me. [The] only thing that matters, we are Baby Flores’ parents.”
