We knew that Kim Kardashian and Kanye West had a sort of oasis tucked away in Los Angeles. We just didn’t know that the celebrity couple’s house was so immaculate. Kim and Kanye share the details about their home with Architectural Digest.
“We passed by this incredibly extravagant house while strolling through the neighborhood. I’d just had North, and we were doing a lot of walking so I could work off some of the baby fat,” Kim tells the magazine. The celebrity couple welcomed their oldest daughter in 2013. “I thought the house was perfection,” Kim says. “Kanye was less enthusiastic. He said, ‘It’s workable.'”
“Workable” turned into something spectacular as Kim and Kanye took their time to create something that continues to be the talk of Hollywood. Everyone always wonders how the Wests manage to keep a home filled with white furniture and walls spotless while having four children. Anything is possible when you have a vision and an appreciation for things.
“I really didn’t know anything about furniture before I met Kanye,” Kim tells Architectural Digest. “Being with him has been an extraordinary education. I take real pride now in knowing what we have and why it’s important,” the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star says.
Kim further explains, “The one thing Kanye and I had in common was our preference for a neutral palette. I love the simplicity of the design. Everything in the outside world is so chaotic. I like to come into a place and immediately feel the calmness.”
