Yara Shahidi is perhaps one of the most sought after faces of Generation Z. The actress, fashionista, and activist has been the spokesperson for everything from passionate advocacy issues to clothing and beyond. Well, the young Iranian/African-American actress has made history again, as she has been selected to join a myriad of other celebrities as sportswear giant Adidas celebrates its signature Superstar sneakers, in their 50th anniversary campaign, Change Is a Team Sport.

In a press release, the brand states that it is celebrating “…five decades of culture makers, boundary pushers, and limit breakers.”

Shahidi stars in the campaign alongside the first female K-Pop group to perform at Coachella, Black Pink, in addition to Jonah Hill, Pharrell Williams, among others.

Jonah Hill also directed a star-studded short film for the new campaign as well. The film stars Shahidi and follows skateboarder Jenn Sotto as she encounters Adidas representatives on a journey through her school.

“There’s no knowledge without the older generation who did it first,” Hill said of the campaign in an interview with Dazed.com. “And there’s no change or progression without the new generation. So if those two generations come together, I feel like that creates the atomic charge for great art and great creativity.”
