Shaunie O’Neal, the ex-wife of Shaquille O’Neal, has been sharing pictures of Kobe Bryant in the late NBA player’s honor all week. Shaq and the kids have also shared candids while writing beautiful tributes to the legendary basketball player as well. Read on to see what Shaq and the kids wrote.

Shaq took to Instagram to pay tribute to Kobe Bryant on Monday (January 27). “Kobe was so much more than an athlete, he was a family man,” Shaq told his social media fans. “That was what we had most in common.”
“We love our families. Whenever we got together I would hug his children like they were my own and he would embrace my kids like they were his. His baby girl Gianna was born on the same day as my youngest daughter Me’Arah. I miss you already brother. This is truly unbelievable.”

Shaqir uploaded a picture of himself receiving advice from Kobe in honor of the NBA star’s passing. “Rest In Peace,” Shaqir wrote online. “I don’t even know where to start,” the young athlete said.
“I use to watch your videos and speeches before every game, you were my favorite player my idol. I love you and will miss you, unc. This one hurt.”

Me’arah may have lost someone who she regarded as family, but her Uncle Kobe will always be with her. “I’m speechless,” Me’arah said in her tribute. “I was playing in your gym when I heard the news,” the teen continued. “I can’t explain the pain, it took me a minute to let it out.”

Me’arah, like many other fans of Kobe Bryant, did not want to believe that the legendary basketball player was gone. The teen, however, moved to cherish the spirit of Kobe going forward. “You’ll always be with me,” Me’arah said.
