Charmaine took the charge of leading fans in a countdown before the screens in the United Center turned pink to signify her expectancy of a daughter. Walker was overcome with emotion while surrounded by the masses who cheered for her family’s newest addition.
“It’s a GIRL,” the Black Ink Crew star exclaimed online after the festivities convened. “I can’t believe it,” Charmaine wrote. “NOLA GLENDA BEY !!!!! Mom, your name lives on.”

Charmaine Walker announced her expectancy a few weeks ago. The news of the celebrity’s growing family was doubly exciting as Walker also told her fans that she was a married woman. Charmaine celebrated the fact that her mom, Glenda Walker, learned of her pregnancy before passing away earlier this year.

“She was so excited,” The Black Ink Crew star said of her mother’s joy in learning that she would soon be a grandmother. “The night before she unexpectedly passed away she said, ‘I still can’t believe my baby is having a baby!’ I’ll never forget those words,” Walker shared. “This has been an emotional roller coaster but I’m blessed to be bringing life into this world.”
