Yara Shahidi has unquestionably positioned herself as the voice of a generation. Actress, fashionista, student, and activist are a few words that describe this ever-evolving superstar. With a heart of gold, Shahidi continues to reach out and show the world how we are supposed shine.
Recently, the young star became the newest member of the SeeHer Advisory Board, joining in the fight to help promote equality for all. SeeHer is the Association of National Advertisers’ movement for gender equality in advertising and media.

Shahidi is no stranger to using her star power to help fight for others. She has spoken up and out for better education, fair treatment of all, immigration and criminal justice reform, among others. It is no wonder that she was named as a Glamour Magazine Women of the Year honoree, and was named twice by Time Magazine as one of the 30 Most Influential Teens.
