“I met Stevie, actually, before he was even part of The Hitmen,” Faith reveals. “I think we just became really good friends early on,” she adds.

Stevie J would tell Faith Evans about the conflict between him and the mothers of his children. She would, in turn, encourage him to always do the right thing. The friendship between Faith and Stevie was evident. The notion of the two becoming a couple in the coming years was not.

“Me and Stevie becoming a couple was only the work of God,” Faith tells UNCENSORED viewers. “I never in a million years … I never thought of him in that way,” she adds.

Perhaps the thing that changed Faith’s mind about Stevie in a romantic sense was his compassion for others.

“A lot of people were shocked,” Evans says of her then-budding relationship with Stevie J. “[They were] like, ‘Are you serious?’ And I was like, ‘I think I am,'” she adds.

“Once we got married, of course, that brought another seriousness to it, I guess. Because of how people see him when we are together. When we are in the element with my son, who’s twelve [years old] and on the autism spectrum.”

Evans goes on to explain, “We’ve had to deal with a whole lot. We had to sue the school district. We had to homeschool him. We had to tour schools. We just decided to start our own school. How [Stevie] came in and has always loved Ryder, and has been so supportive in helping me make the right decisions with [my son], that’s like A-1. That stands out to a lot of people.”
